Gangtey is our third stop. We travel from Punakha to Gangtey, and 'are we there yet?' was the question in our mind the whole time of that journey. Even though the weather was just perfect with sunny and cool breeze, there are delays after delays because of the roadworks in progress.
Everything is forgiven once you get to the lodge, it has such a beautiful view into the valley from the living room and from all of the rooms.
You must try the Hot stone bath here, they are original traditional hot stone bath done in little farm house around the lodge. Go before dark, so you can feel and enjoy the surroundings.
The black neck cranes had arrived, when we were there. So the crane Center is a must visit.
If you are visiting the local school remember to ask your guide to get some treats and stationary for the children at the school. They really appreciate it.

    – “It's worth it!”

Well worth the effort getting here. The customary heartfelt and warm Aman welcome inside a large lounge with sweeping views over the valley floor where black-necked cranes make their home in the winter months. Do go on the easy circular walk past farmsteads, fields and the local school. The more demanding Langtey valley walk is also a delight, more so if the hundreds of rhododendron trees are in flower. Highlights of a visit here are the rustic hot stone bath, most welcome after a day's trekking and for some of the best Bhutanese food on this trip in one of the most unique settings have the candle-lit dinner in the potato shed.

    – “Stark beauty, nature, fauna and flora”

This hotel is excellent. If you go on a trip with Aman in Bhutan, the Amankora Gadgety is the best one. With its high elevation, it is really making you fell in the mountain and the inside of the hotel is very cozy. You can ask your guide for archery if you want, the target is very funny.

    – “Excellent stay”
