TLT hotel is situated at SAmdrup Jonkhar which is the boarder town for Daranga the India Side. Unfortunately after living Rangai there is no hotel to stay at Daranga hence a tourist needs to stay at Samdrup Jongkhar. This hotel is located near the bus and taxi terminal and is also close from the immigration office. The property is nice and clear and for the budget of Rs 1000 to 1500 not bad to stay. The rooms are clear and bathroom quality is ok. Food quality is also acceptable though the service is bit slow. Considering the limited choice of hotels in Samdrup Jongkhar I put this hotel among the best of category.

– “Hotel for transit passangers for Eastern Bhutan”
A very clean and simple hotel with everything you need and probably one of the best options in this part of the country. The beds are hard and pillows soft and the noise from the street outside has the potential to keep light sleepers awake. But if you've made it here, then you've most likely had a big day and you're hopefully tired.
The restaurant of the hotel is quite reasonable and the food was always good.
I had one cold shower as they were refilling their tanks (?) so all the water was cold. But after waiting a while it warmed up again.
– “Clean, simple, all you need”
Stayed here on the last night of our tour of Bhutan. The hotel is located outside the main town and is therefore very quiet. The hotel staff were very welcoming, rooms clean and comfortable with good shower. Food excellent and served with a smile. Views across the town very nice. Nicely .kept garden . Would recommend.
– “Good service and accommodation.”
Yes, most hotels are average in this town, and it is usually for one night on the way either in or out of Bhutan. Although it looked old, the room was clean, the bed lines were clean, and so was the bathroom. No A/C, but a big fan hanging on the ceiling, and needed even though the rain made the air a bit cooler.Surrounding the room was a balcony overlooking the market. The best thing was our dinner: varied and good portions of different dishes. And at breakfast we had muesli, brown bread, puri and fruit. The best and most varied we got on our trip.
Samdrup-Jongkhar is 3 hours driving from the airport in Guwahati-India.
– “Centrally located hotel with 5 star food and service.”
