Haven Resort is a well-kept, beautifully clean resort which is situated in the mountainous region of Paro. About 15 minutes to the town centre of Paro, Haven presents itself to be a cozy, comfortable and well-serviced property. The showers were working wonderfully, bathrooms full of amenities and rooms were large. The breakfast was absolutely brilliant with a huge variety of quality food. The spa at Haven Resort was bliss. Best thai food in town, Great room and staffs. love the breakfast. they have soft boiled rice thai style for your choice. They have superb view for sunrise and sunset at the balcony. hot stone bath and massage are nice.
Nice, cosy & quite place to stay. Restaurant served Bhutanese and Thais Food. The beautiful lady chief chef is from Thailand and her cooking is fantastic. Hotel Charges is reasonable based on the rating of the resort.

We recently visited Bhutan and though we did not stay at the Haven, we did manage to have lunch at their Bhu Thai restaurant. I can safely attest that we had some of the best Thai cuisine we have had so far in all our travels. We were a party of eight with majority being vegetarians. Not only did they accommodate our food preferences, they went out of the way to create dishes specially for us and all this without giving them any advance notice, The service is a bit slow and at times the understanding is poor but we experienced that in all of Bhutan. Not only at hotels and restaurants. They are very simple but Happy people. I would recommend a short detour to have lunch/dinner at this restaurant especially if you go to see the National Museum in Paro. Oh and excellent value for money considering we padi almost 3 times at the other 5 star hotels.
– "Gem of a Thai restaurant”
Haven Resort may not be the most luxurious hotel in Paro, but it comes close. Three of us shared a large room with king size bed and an extra thick mattress on the floor next to the window. Our room faced the valley, we caught the rising sun's rays casting pink light over the mountain. Lots of plug points to charge our electronic equipment.
Good comfort after days of hard travelling and budget hotels, so we made our last hotel stay more lux. Love the Thai restaurant and the quality food... hmmm tom yum.
Service was good, and we felt bad making the staff wake at 4.30 in the morning to prepare breakfast as we had an early flight to catch.
The staff at reception were also kind and accommodating, helping us to settle the bill and opening the gift shop at late hours in the evening so that we can use the last of our Bhutanese currency.
Enjoyed the hot stones bath - rocks from the river are heated in a fire pit for 2 hours and dropped into the bath. Feels good in the cold weather and relaxing after climbing Tiger Nest monastry.
