Visited Ha valley on 2nd jan 2017. Risum resort stay was the best stay in my 15 days Bhutan trip. "Ha" valley is very quiet place. Many people adviced me to skip "Ha" valley as there was nothing to see there according to them but it was the best decision to visit this place as my whole purpose of trip was to experience the nature.
View from room , Food and Staff was very nice !!

    “Superb !!!”

As it is far away of Paro or Thimpu we didn't expect such a good hotel. We made not so good experiences with another hotel the day before. The rooms are big and very nice looking with lots of timber. Even they have a lounge. The local food is very delicious especially the wonton with spinach, ginger and fresh cheese. The staff is great. They are so nice. We enjoyed it very much!

    “Best hotel in the region”

My husband and I spent 2 nights at Risum Resort, during a two-week tour of Bhutan organized by Bhutan Swallowtail Tours. We stayed in a very comfortable cottage, with excellent meals and very friendly staff. The dining room is multi-purpose with a wood burning stove, comfortable seating area, and good small library. We were lucky - the Indian Army has a large training center in Haa and they were celebrating an annual military show which was fabulous. We also hiked above the Resort to a charming village, guided by a young local farmer. This was one of my favorite places to stay during a two-week stay in Bhutan, due to its friendly staff and wonderful location.

“Charming, super friendly resort in gorgeous location”

Since 2015 this place also offers spacious cottages, next to the apartments. Very spacious, well maintained. Relaxing restaurant offers variety of choices...with great service. We just stayed here for 1 night, but would have loved to stay 1-2 days more to explore the valley by foot. Circular journey from Paro is worth the trip!

“Perfect location, perfect place to stau.”
