One of the nicest and good decision we took to stay in Eco lodge for 2 nights. We three traveled to Bhutan on 27th December to Jan 10th all along the way from Samdrup to Thimpu including 2 days trek.
We really enjoyed the stay in Eco lodge. The rooms are very specious and cozy. Food is really at par, very nice and humble staff. Especially Yuden the receptionist greeted us with hot mint tea on that chilled night. Including her all the staff were really good and served us delicious food. I insist people planning to Bhutan should certainly get some time and have a nice stay.

“The Sun and the Moon, you and only you… Very nice place with nice staff”

I had stayed in Wangdue Eco Lodge for 2 nights in December.
Room is well decorated in a both classic and modern style, foods are amazing and staffs are very friendly. I truly enjoyed the moments every morning to see the clouds moving down the hills gradually.
I found all paintings on the wall very intriguing - I was told that all those art works were taken by the owner himself and he is currently compiling a photography book - "Bhutan Through the Lends of a Local Photographer" according to a local magazine.
Don't miss chance to visit this calm, tranquil and unique place.
It's certainly "icing on the cake" for your journey.

    “Fantastic place to stay”

An excellent place. It's very peaceful with breathtaking views. This lodge is environment-friendly, it uses energy generated by wind mills and most of its construction is done using natural resources. The theme chosen by architect/founder is awesome. Its rooms are spacious and very well designed. Its staff is friendly and provides very good service.

The room was amazingly cozy with a very spacious bathroom. We had a great sleep that night after travelling for many hours on the road. The bed was comfortable with good quality sheets. Food was simple but well planned. We enjoyed eating breakfast, admiring the beautiful valley and watching the happy locals harvesting our food. Knowing that our food is grown organically and produced locally just made everything so heartwarming and unpretentious. We definitely recommend Eco Lodge and had hoped to stay another night. I personally would love to stay there for a week or a month. Haha!

Very nice and quiet place (wind mills are surprisingly quiet) with breathtaking view overlooking the river and Wangdue Dzong. Huge rooms with balcony above orchard and garden inspire for meditation.. Excellent local cuisine, you can even learn to cook. Nice trekking trails around through ricefields..

An enjoyable, peaceful stay with few tourists, though I doubt if this glorious area will remain a secret for too much longer.

    “A place of tranquillity”
